Just in time for Christmas, andymori’s “last live” at 日本武道館 will be released as a no-cut DVD on December 24th! There’s no word yet on special or documentary features, but the 2.5 hour, 41 track concert is set to retail for ￥5,400. andymori 4th live DVD and Budokan live

During the encore of what was to be andymori’s final performance at SPACE SHOWER SWEET LOVE SHOWER 2014 on August 29th, with just two songs left to sing, Oyamada Sohei turned to his bandmates and asked if they’d like to play one more show. The surprise request left fans hopeful and sent their management team scrambling to make it happen.
Sure enough, today the band announced one more “last live” to take place at Nihon Budokan on October 15th.
In slightly less unexpected news, andymori will release their 4th live DVD on October 8th. It will contain their full set at Zepp Tokyo on July 27th, as well as a selection of songs from each of their other five “comeback” performances (up to and including SLS 2014). The 2-disc DVD will also include various documentary features and is set to retail for ￥5,800. Be sure to check out the official preview below.

In case you missed it, the news that andymori fans have been waiting for is finally here. It’s been almost a year since Oyamada Sohei’s injury led to the cancellation of the band’s final tour, but having undergone months of rehabilitation he was able to enter the studio in May and seems poised to give andymori the send off it deserves. andymori to release 3rd live DVD, live albums

andymori will release their 3rd live DVD, FUN！FUN！FUN！, on November 6th followed by two live albums, ANDYSHANTY and 愛してやまない音楽を (Aishite yamanai ongaku o), on November 20th.
The 2-disc live DVD will feature a no-cut version of this spring’s FUN！FUN！FUN！ tour final shot at 恵比寿LIQUIDROOM on April 5th and is set to retail for ￥4,500.
Disc 2 will include the band’s entire SWEET LOVE SHOWER 2013 in 東京 set, filmed at 日比谷野外大音楽堂 on May 3rd, 2013, 8 music videos (革命, Sunrise&Sunset, 光, クラブナイト〜Live Ver.〜, シンガー, 宇宙の果てはこの目の前に, ネバーランド〜SHORT FILM〜, 夢見るバンドワゴン), and a second collection of over 300 photos by Sato Tetsuro.
ANDYSHANTY and 愛してやまない音楽を will contain a total of 37 tracks, recorded between 2011 and 2013 and are set to retail for ￥2,500 each (track lists below).

Posted: May 27, 2013 Filed under: News, Release, Tour | Tags: andymori, uchuu no hate wa kono me no mae ni, 宇宙の果てはこの目の前に Leave a commentUPDATE: Oyamada Sohei (Vo./Gt.) was seriously injured after jumping into a river on the morning of July 4th and as a result all scheduled appearances, including the “ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE” tour and andymori’s LAST LIVE at Nippon Budokan, have been canceled. An official statement from Faith Music and Youth Records is available in Japanese on the band’s website.
So this is it. andymori have announced their decision to call it quits following a final performance at Nippon Budokan on September 24th. You can read the official statement on the front page of their website along with comments from the band, but I won’t write anything more about it here. They’ve had a good run and while it’ll be sad to see them go, I’m confident that we haven’t seen the last of these three.
In other news, andymori’s 5th full-length studio album, 宇宙の果てはこの目の前に (uchuu no hate wa kono me no mae ni), has an official release date of June 26th. The 14-track album is a collection of songs both new and old, including several bgms songs written before andymori’s formation in 2007. I’ve included live footage of five of these songs, recorded during the band’s “FUN!FUN!FUN!” tour final at 恵比寿LIQUIDROOM and a previously released version of 空は藍色 performed by hotal light hill’s band. In addition to their “last live”, the band has added Mie and Hiroshima to the list of stops on this summer’s “ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE” tour (dates below).
